The Wycombe High School Guild is an organisation for all former students of Wycombe High School plus present and past members of staff.
The story of the Guild began in 1910, nine years after the School was founded, and the first pupils had become 'old girls'. Many were anxious not to lose touch with each other and the School and as a result, the idea of the 'Old Girls Guild' developed, warmly welcomed by Miss Christie the first Headmistress.
To celebrate the centenary of the Guild there will be a Grand Reunion on Saturday 10 July 2010.
“100 Years On – a Celebration of the First 100 Years of the Wycombe High School Guild”
All former students, past and present staff, not only of Wycombe High School, but also of Lady Verney High School, will be most welcome. Guild members will receive details in the annual mailing in early December. Also, please check the website for more information and updates.
Guild Centenary Programme and Booking Form
Guild members are potentially a tremendous resource for WHS as there are numerous ways in which Guild members can become involved in the life of the School, to the benefit of the girls. Please let us have your suggestions. We should like to develop a directory of members - a Who’s Who of past Wycombe High School students.
Why not join the Official Wycombe High School Facebook Group (Members of staff and former students only please).
