Wycombe High School GCSE Results - Summer 2018
Congratulations to all our Year 11 students on their GCSE results. This is a super year group and we are extremely proud of all that they have achieved and the spirit in which they have done so.
189 Year 11 students sat GCSE examinations in 19 different subjects this year. 70.2% of students achieved 9 - 7 / A*-A grades in eight or more subjects. 44% of all examinations taken were awarded 9 - 8 / A* grades.
This is an excellent set of results, especially considering the increased level of challenge and changes introduced at GCSE, and the move to a 9-1 grading system in the last two years. They are testament to the enthusiasm, ambition and sheer hard work of our students and staff, and unwavering support from parents.
That many of our students so successfully balance their academic studies with wide-ranging participation in the arts and sport, including competing at national level, is an absolute credit to them. Congratulations also to the students for whom their results mark a personal triumph over adversity.
