Admissions consultation for September 2021

The School is consulting on its admissions arrangements for students joining in September 2021.

The consultation will run from Monday 16 December 2019 to Friday 31 January 2020.  The full draft policies are below:

Draft Determined Admissions Policy with a PAN of 192 for September 2021

Draft Determined Admissions Policy with a PAN of 210 for September 2021

We are currently awaiting the result of a Selective Schools Expansion Fund bid. If we are successful in this it will allow us to finance an expansion of our pupil admission number (PAN) from 192 to 210 in Year 7.

Should we be successful, the proposed changes for an expansion of the PAN to 210 from September 2021 will relate to the following:

·         An increase from the current Year 7 PAN from 192 to 210

·         A proportion of the expanded PAN will be prioritised for disadvantaged girls entering Year 7 who are in catchment, with a lower threshold for entry on the admissions test

·         Additional places will be available to students entering Year 9 (2020 and 2021 intake only)

·         An increase in the number of places available for students joining the Sixth Form

·         A proportion of the expanded places in the Sixth Form will be prioritised for disadvantaged girls entering Year 12, with a lower threshold for entry from their GCSE results.

If we are not successful with our Selective Schools Expansion Fund bid, the PAN will remain at 192 and there will be no substantive change to our existing Admissions Policy. There will be some minor changes of wording, for clarification purposes, in our proposed 192 PAN policy 2021.

Please note we are not consulting on any catchment area changes for either policy.
