Our 2021 examination results were based on School Assessed grades.  In line with all schools nationally these have not been reported publicly.

The last examination results to be published as performance measures before 2022 by the Secretary of State for Education was 2019.

A level and GCSE Results 2023

Congratulations to our A Level and GCSE students on some fantastic results this summer! Their achievements reflect the hard work of our students and staff, and the strength of the partnership between staff, students and parents.

A Level:

  • Over three quarters of all results achieved by students were A* to B grades.
  • Over half of all results achieved by students were A* to A grades.
  • 56 students achieved three or more A Levels at A*-A, with 6 students achieving 3 or more A* grades. 

GCSE:

  • 68% of all GCSE results achieved by students were grades 9-7.
  • 46% of all GCSE results achieved by students were grades 9-8.

GCSE Results August 2022

Congratulations to Wycombe High School’s GCSE students, who in the face of a global pandemic they have kept working though and achieved truly outstanding results. In summary, 61% of all GCSE grades are graded 9 to 8; and 82% are graded 9, 8 or 7

The Covid pandemic has disrupted their education for over two years. Despite national lockdowns, school closures and restrictions, they have worked their way through with determination and perseverance. They have received the GCSE results they well and truly deserve. Their positive mindsets and hard work have brought them great rewards and we could not be prouder of them. We are very much looking forward to them joining Wycombe High School’s Sixth Form where we know they will continue to shine.

A Level results August 2022

Congratulations to Wycombe High School’s A Level students. They have achieved excellent A Level results and we are extremely proud of them. They are simply put, a magnificent generation of students, who have role modelled resilience, determination, perseverance, flexibility and optimism throughout their Sixth Form years and the pandemic. We send them every best wish for their futures beyond Wycombe High School and know they will continue to have a positive impact wherever life leads them.   They are an extraordinary and inspiring group of young people.

76 students or 41% of the year group achieved three or more A Levels at A*/A; 11% achieved 3 or more A* grades. Over 80% have gained access to their first-choice universities.

A Level Results 2019

  • 77% of all A Level results were at A* to B grades
  • 45% of all grades were A*/A
  • 14% of all grades were A*
  • 45 students achieved three or more A Levels at A*/A (around a quarter of all students)
  • The overall pass rate was 99.7%
  • The results have been strong across every subject with 45% of all exam entries in STEM subjects. Of these, almost 50% were A*/A.

Wycombe High School offers 23 A Level subjects across the arts, humanities, creative subjects, social sciences and the STEM subjects; sciences, technology, and mathematics. We are pleased our students continue to combine STEM subjects with the performing and visual arts, creative subjects, languages, and humanities at A Level ensuring they are well-prepared for higher education and employment. We have built on these results over the last few years. Our students are well placed and supported to continue an upwards trajectory.
