Step Into The NHS Competition Regional Winner
Huge congratulations to Rufaro in Year 9 who is the 2019 regional winner of the ‘Step into the National Health Service Competition’ for the Thames Valley and Wessex area.
Year 9 students were challenged to research and select one of the 350+ careers available in the NHS, then to make a job description and advertisement demonstrating their understanding of what the role involves.
This year there were 1940 entries from 141 schools from across the country, so Rufaro should be very proud representing WHS with her video on dentistry which was chosen as the regional winner.
As the regional winner, Rufaro won an Amazon Voucher worth £50 which was presented by Abi Changer (NHS Engagement & Careers Lead) and Katy Kerr (Dental Adviser) from the NHS. Wycombe High School also received an award as a winning entry school.
Exciting opportunities for medical careers will be shared with Wycombe High School from July and will be shared via our news pages and Twitter. For further information about the competition and careers in the NHS please go to - https://www.stepintothenhs.nhs.uk/
