Cross country teams show fine form to progress into second round
Wycombe High School’s cross country teams cruised into the second round of the ESAA English Schools’ Cup thanks to some superb performances at the first round event.
Hosted by Cottesloe School in Wing, the event saw both the Junior (Year 7 and 8) and Inter (Year 9 and 10) teams successfully book their place at the regional event which takes place on 9 November in Oxfordshire.
All runners performed superbly with Ruby Dale, Ffion Harman, Florence Lee-Rubis, Sofia Lomas, Aashni Manek, Jo Snelling and Trixie De Groot securing third place and progress for the Juniors. The Inters matched their younger schoolmates and booked third spot thanks to excellent runs from Lyra Browning, Rufaro Chikwanda, Amber Galley, Tia Lomas, Keshni Manek and Annie Oakes.
