On Saturday the 16 November, both Wycombe High School's U17 and U20 Ultimate Frisbee teams, Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome, took to Hounslow to take part in the annual Junior Women's Indoor Nationals Competition. Places in the tournament were open to all years attending Frisbee practice, and those in all ability levels, designed to be both a great opportunity for improvement and a chance to score top of the table. We even opened up to receiving a few pick up players from a local school whose team was not large enough to enter! The tournament commenced at 2pm, and went on throughout the day, ending at about 8pm, with each team playing approximately 5 or 6 twenty minute matches during the time. Matches were challenging as our A and B team were faced with tough teams, most of which meet to play three or even four long sessions a week! Although we did not advance to the next level of semi-finals and finals, we definitely feel that we played to our best abilities and improved so much as a team through the day. Our under 20s team even received the Spirit Award for fair play and an overall positive attitude throughout the day!
