New Headteacher appointed at Wycombe High School

The Trustees of Wycombe High School are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Nicola Renyard as our new Headteacher, effective 1 September 2022.

This comes as Mrs Sharon Cromie retires from Wycombe High School on 31 August 2022 after nearly 14 successful years in the post.

Mrs Renyard joins us from Sir William Ramsay School in Hazlemere, where she is currently Deputy Headteacher. Mrs Renyard is an historian and brings excellent leadership experience gained at a number of other grammar schools in Buckinghamshire.

Mrs Renyard said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to take on this role at one of the finest schools in the country. It is an absolute honour and privilege to be the next Headteacher of a school that has such a strong ethos, culture and commitment to diversity and girls’ education. I cannot wait to get started”.

Mrs Cromie added: “Mrs Renyard and I will be working closely to ensure an effective handover to help a smooth transition. I am sure you will join me in wishing Mrs Renyard well when she takes up her new position”.

David Garmon-Jones, Chair of the Wycombe High School Trust Board said: “After a rigorous and lengthy process to find our next Headteacher, we are thrilled to have been able to appoint somebody with the drive, ambition and compassion to lead this internationally renowned school and to continue the journey of excellence that Wycombe High School has followed throughout its 120-year history”.
