PAFA (which is the same as a PTA) exists to enhance the educational experience of the students (our daughters) at Wycombe High School. We are very keen to be the 'bridge' between the school and parents/carers as, once our girls go to "big school", the playground contact is lost.  We do this by organising events and activities which provide opportunities for everyone to meet up and get to know each other.  Whilst doing this we also raise funds which supplement school projects.  For academic year 2017 - 2018 we will continue to raise funds to improve the seating area within the Forum (and hopefully expand it).

As parents / guardians of students at Wycombe High School, you are automatically members of PAFA and are welcome to attend all of the meetings.  The dates for meetings can be found on the school calendar (search PAFA) and are held in the meeting room inside the Learning Centre.  We try to keep meetings fast moving and interesting - starting at 7.30 pm and completed by 9.30 pm.  The next PAFA meeting will be as below - do come along and meet us, hear what goes on and get involved.  All PAFA dates can be found on the school calendar here.

Tuesday 15 May 2019 - 7.30 pm in the Learning Centre

You can contact us via email at any time -  We will try and respond to you as soon as possible.

Events planned for 2018 - 2019 include:

  • Family Photo Shoots - watch out for ParentMails about these
  • Discounted Theatre tickets - publicised in ParentMails - only for sale online
  • PAFA meeting 19 March 19.30 hrs in the Learning Centre
  • PAFA meeting 15 May 19.30 hrs in the Learning Centre
  • PAFA meeting 11 June 19.30hrs in the Learning Centre

Watch out for details on these events and information on how to book.  We email parents/carers via the school so please ensure your contact details are up to date with the school office.

Getting involved with PAFA is very easy:

Regular involvementTaking on a role – we are looking for immediate help in the following areas

  • Help with running the bar at school and PAFA events

  • Help with our large events - simply a willingness to get involved!

Maybe you are thinking of going back to work?   Using your organizational, financial, creative, logistical or marketing skills within the PAFA framework is an ideal way to ‘dip your toe in the water’ to using workplace skills again.  If you want to discuss this please drop me a line –  Even easier, just come along to any meeting (details below)

Come to PAFA meetings - next one is on 25 September - 7.30 pm in the Forum

Always thinking why don’t PAFA do this or that?  Come along to any meeting and share your ideas and thoughts – all feedback and comments are very welcome.   You will not be pounced upon and given a job unwillingly!!  Meeting dates can be found on the school calendar - search PAFA

Sign up to be on the ‘ad hoc help’ list.  Please email us and put Ad Hoc help in the subject line.  You will then be contacted each time we have an event asking if you can help.

One of the easiest ways of supporting your daughter (via PAFA) is by joining the 200 Club.

The Wycombe High School 200 Club is our most consistent means of raising funds and a great way to have some fun by simply buying one or more numbers in our monthly draw.

Half the proceeds pay for additional school facilities and equipment and the other half is distributed in prizes.  The first prize is currently £200; second prize £75 and third prize £25 - prizes drawn every month!

The more Club members there are, the larger the first prize. Your chances of winning are considerably better than the lottery, so by requesting more than one number, you have more chances to win! *

Join the 200 Club today – support the school and be in with a chance to win.  Make sure you are not missing out.

Taking part is easy

Simply complete the form including Bank Standing Order and send the whole form to:

Via daughter-mail:  put it into the PAFA mailbox on the wall just outside the school reception.

Thank you for your support, and good luck!

In a similar way, you can also contribute directly to school funds by buying your  goods through our Amazon link. You pay nothing more, but the school will get a small percentage of every pound you spend.
