Our Year 10 History students have just returned from an unforgettable trip to Berlin, where they experienced history first-hand! ✈️ From exploring the iconic Brandenburg Gate 🇩🇪 and Checkpoint Charlie 🚧 to learning about life behind the Iron Curtain at the Hohenschönhausen Stasi prison 🧱 and Sachsenhausen Memorial 🕊️, this was a journey through time they’ll never forget.
The students also visited the Topography of Terror museum 📜 and reached new heights at the Estrel Tower 🏙️, Berlin’s tallest skyscraper. But it wasn’t all serious—despite temperatures plunging to a frosty -8°C 🥶 (fitting for a Cold War-themed visit!), the snow brought plenty of fun, including an epic snowball fight ⛄ and lots of laughter with friends.
This trip perfectly combined powerful history lessons with unforgettable memories! 👏
