This week’s episode of award-winning Wycombe High TV, the UK’s only student-led school TV channel, celebrates some of the school’s most exciting achievements yet — from national science success to musical brilliance and charitable spirit.
🧠 Super Scientists!
A huge congratulations to our team of six Year 13 students who have come joint-first in a prestigious national competition run by Imperial College London. The contest challenged students to create an innovative ePoster exploring the links between climate change and medicine.
Their creative, thoughtful design impressed the judges so much that Wycombe High not only shared the top spot but also won £2,500 for the school. Headteacher Mrs Renyard joined the team as they received their certificates, describing their success as “a wonderful example of teamwork, imagination and excellence in science.”
🎀 Pink-tacular Fundraising
Students went all-out for this year’s Wear It Pink Day, transforming the school into a sea of pink and raising over £1,500 in under an hour for Breast Cancer Now — a new Wycombe High record!
🪔 Diwali Celebration
The Student Interfaith Society hosted a colourful and joy-filled Diwali Party, bringing students together to celebrate the festival of lights with music, dancing and delicious food.
⚽ Sporting Highlights
Our Cross Country team has qualified for the next round of the ESAA Schools Cup, and the U13 Football squad celebrated another victory in the ESFA National Cup — great teamwork all round!
🎃 Halloween Horrors & Autumn Concert
With Halloween fast approaching, students shared their spookiest fears in a fun vox-pop segment. And to close the show, there’s a sneak peek of this week’s Student Autumn Concert, packed with amazing performances and musical magic.
📺 Presented by Faith and Alicija (Year 12), this week’s Wycombe High TV News is not to be missed!.
