This week’s edition of WHTV News was a very special one as, for the first time ever, the programme was co-presented by students from TWO schools.
Students from Challney High School for Girls in Luton visited Wycombe High School as part of an exciting student exchange and ideas-sharing partnership between the two schools, with the collaboration culminating in a unique joint edition of WHTV News from the UK’s ONLY student-led school TV channel.
The initiative gave students from both schools the opportunity to share ideas, experiences and perspectives while learning more about leadership, school culture, student voice and life in each other’s school communities.
The show also featured a range of stories from across Wycombe High School, including:
• Mental Health Awareness Week vox pops as students revealed the little things that make them happy
• International gymnastics success for Year 9 student Jess, who qualified for the World Championships in Orlando
• Highlights from the Year 7 and 8 sports tour to PGL Liddington
• Year 11’s trip to Thorpe Park before GCSE exam leave
• An emotional look back at Year 13 students’ unforgettable final day before A-level exam leave
The collaboration was a fantastic opportunity for students from both schools to work together creatively while celebrating the power of student leadership, communication and teamwork.
