This summer, Wycombe High School students embarked on an unforgettable 12-day sports and cultural tour of South Africa.
From the heights of Table Mountain to the sands of Muizenberg Beach, from competitive netball, hockey and football matches to township tours, penguin encounters and thrilling game drives, the trip was packed with once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
One of the most moving moments was the visit to Kayamandi Township, where students donated books to the local library and took part in a guided walking tour to learn about life in the community. The tour also included a visit to the Winnie Mabaso Foundation, where students helped out with outreach activities and enjoyed spending time with local children.
Other highlights included a surf lesson at Muizenberg Beach, seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach, a dawn safari at Mabula Game Reserve, and an inspiring visit to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg.
