Fresh from receiving the results they’d hoped for, Year 11 students Hafsa and Evie joined Head of Year 11 Penny Robinson for a warm, fun and uplifting interview with Wycombe Sound’s Rob L’Esperance.
They talked about the nerves and excitement of Results Day, their experiences at Wycombe High, the people who have supported them along the way and why they’re looking forward to returning in September for the next chapter of their Wycombe High journey in our Sixth Form, described by Ofsted as a “beacon of excellence”.
One particularly lovely moment comes when Evie is asked which teacher she would most like to thank. She chooses English teacher Sara Clube, recalling how she went the extra mile by marking numerous additional past papers for her during the run-up to the GCSE examinations.
It’s a wonderful example of the relationships between students and staff that lie behind the grades – and a reminder that Results Day is about far more than numbers on a piece of paper.
