The funny, the cool, the bizarre, the corny, the flashing, the jingling, the itchy – festive knitwear of all styles were on display on 11 December at Wycombe High as the school celebrated Christmas Jumper Day in a bid to earn their charity target of £1300 for Save the Children.
Seasonal sweaters lit up classrooms and corridors alike, as staff and students embraced the event by sacrificing Wycombe High’s typically trendy sartorial style for the greater good of 80s-inspired knitwear.
“It was fantastic to see everyone coming together and bringing a cheerful spirit to the school,” said Year 12’s Allie.
Christmas Jumper Day had been preceded by a series of ‘Jokes in a Jumper’ videos recorded & performed by the SLT, with Headteacher Mrs Cromie delivering the final gag – which can be viewed below! The SLT and Mrs Cromie are now awaiting a call from BBC producers for an invite to perform on Live at the Apollo.
The phone has not rung yet.
