Dhenuka delivers stunning stamp design fit for the Queen

This amazing drawing of pandemic hero, Captain Sir Tom Moore, is sure to wow the judges in a national contest to design a stamp fit for the Queen.

It was created by Dhenuka, in Year 8, and has now been entered in the Heroes Stamp Design Competition, organised by the Royal Mail.

Children across Britain were asked to design a new stamp, featuring heroes of the pandemic. The eight best designs will be sent to Her Majesty the Queen, before being printed and issued as real postage stamps.

Wycombe High’s Art Subject Leader, Nina Gadd said: “”I am so excited about this thoughtful and touching portrait of Captain Sir Tom Moore, created by the incredibly skilled Dhenuka in Year 8. Although this was a late entry, I have emailed the Family and Education department at Royal Mail, and they are so blown away by this work that they have said they are willing to accept it past the deadline date! Rooting for a win for Dhenuka!”
