he latest edition of WHTV News showcases another exceptional week at Wycombe High School, celebrating student achievement across engineering, sport and the performing arts.
Jerica and Taraniya, both in Year 11, have been awarded prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarships. This nationally recognised programme identifies the UK’s most talented future engineers and involves a highly competitive selection process including application, examination and interview.
In sport, Year 7 student Iola has enjoyed a remarkable run of success, securing three major trophies in just a few weeks. Representing both school and club teams, she helped Wycombe High win the Under 13 Buckinghamshire Schools County Cup, claimed the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Grassroots County Cup with Henley Lionesses, where she was named Player of the Match, and won the Elite Development Programme National Finals with Wycombe Wanderers Girls Development Academy.
There is also a look at how our Year 7 students are engaging with STEM subjects, along with further sporting success as the Under 14 tennis team progress to Round 4 of the School Sport Magazine Cup.
The programme concludes with a performance of “Belle” from Beauty and the Beast by the Musical Theatre Club, following this week’s Lower School Concert. The full concert will be available to watch during the half term break.
