GCSE results: “We could not be prouder” – Mrs Cromie

Headteacher, Sharon Cromie, today spoke of the pride in this year’s GCSE students and their ‘outstanding’ results.

Here’s her statement in full:

“Congratulations to our Year 11 students who have today achieved outstanding GCSE results. Overall, 61% of all GCSE grades at Wycombe High School were graded 9 or 8; and 82% were graded 9, 8 or 7.

“The Covid pandemic has disrupted their education for over two years. Despite national lockdowns, school closures and restrictions, they have worked their way through with determination and perseverance. Today, they have received the GCSE results they well and truly deserve.

“Their positive mindsets and hard work have brought them great rewards and we could not be prouder of them. We are very much looking forward to them joining Wycombe High School’s Sixth Form where we know they will continue to shine.

“I wish them the very best for the remaining days of their summer holidays and I hope they enjoy the well-deserved celebrations.

“With sincere thanks to Wycombe High School staff for their unwavering support of our students, and our parents who enable their children to achieve everything they are capable of”.
