In this special edition of Head’s Up!, Wycombe High Headteacher Nicola Renyard introduces highlights from our recent Year 8 Battlefields visit to France and Belgium.
During the trip, our students visited some of the key sites of the two World Wars, giving them the opportunity to see first-hand the places they have been learning about in their History studies. From memorials and museums to the battlefields themselves, it was a powerful and memorable experience that helped bring the events of more than a century ago vividly to life.
The report featured in the video was directed, produced and presented by Aida in Year 8, who has done a fantastic job capturing both the historical significance of the visit and the impact it had on the students who took part.
Educational visits like this are an important part of the Wycombe High experience, helping students connect their classroom learning with the real world around them.
