MBE winner, Charlotte, acknowledges influence of Wycombe High

Wycombe High alumna, Charlotte Young, who has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours,  has acknowledged the huge influence her time at the school has had on her charity work.

Charlotte, founded The Girls Network charity eight years ago, to inspire and empower young women from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with mentors and female role models.

Talking exclusively to Wycombe High TV’s Anya and Imogen (in Year 9) Charlotte said the school’s environment, where young women support and encourage each other, made her realise how powerful that ethos can be.
