Wycombe High School’s Under 14 tennis team is celebrating a remarkable achievement after qualifying for the National Finals of the School Sport Magazine National Schools Tennis Cup. The achievement means Wycombe High’s Under 14 team is now among the top four school teams in England in their age group.
The team secured their place among the country’s top school tennis sides by winning the regional finals in Gloucester at the weekend, earning a coveted spot in the national finals at Repton on Friday 3 July.
In a new WHTV interview, reporter Zara speaks to four members of the squad about their successful cup run, the teamwork behind their achievements and their hopes for the finals. Fellow team member Nishta was unable to join the interview as she was competing in another singles tournament.
Reaching the final stage of such a prestigious national competition is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects the hard work, dedication and talent of the entire squad.
We wish the team every success as they head to Repton to compete for the national title.
