It was a case of bon appétit at Wycombe High School as our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department celebrated European Day of Languages with a spectacular Bake Off competition!
This year’s event proved another resounding success, attracting an incredible number of entries and showcasing the creativity, imagination and baking talents of our students.
Taking the top prize were Year 7 students Kalki and Tamiga, whose magnificent French-themed creation featured an Eiffel Tower, tricolour flags, macarons, croissants and the words Bienvenue en France. Their beautifully decorated cake was a worthy winner in a competition packed with outstanding entries.
Mr de Souza, Head of Modern Foreign Languages, was delighted with the response:
“This year’s European Day of Languages Bake Off was another fantastic success! We were absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible number of entries we received, and the cakes looked truly amazing. There was so much creativity and talent on display!
“A huge congratulations to our winners, and a massive well done to everyone who took part. Thank you all for making this year’s Bake Off such a wonderful and memorable event!”
Congratulations to Kalki and Tamiga, and a huge merci beaucoup to everyone who participated and to the MFL Department for organising such a deliciously successful celebration of European languages and cultures.
