Wycombe High School Sixth Form students recently travelled to East London for an enriching Geography field trip to the London Docklands Museum and Canary Wharf.
The visit supported learning for Year 12 and Year 13 Human Geography, allowing students to explore first hand one of the UK’s most significant urban regeneration stories. From the historic docks to the global financial hub that is now Canary Wharf, students were able to connect classroom theory with real world examples of economic change and urban development.
Fieldwork opportunities like this are a key part of the Wycombe High Sixth Form experience, helping students deepen their understanding of their subjects while developing valuable analytical and observational skills.
It is one of the many reasons our Sixth Form was described by Ofsted as a “beacon of excellence.”
