Today, 24 September 2026, marks exactly 125 years since Wycombe High School opened its doors for the very first time.
We began this historic birthday with a special ceremony beneath the Acer tree outside our Technology Centre, where our 125th Anniversary Time Capsule was buried for a future generation of Wycombe High students to discover.
Ira, our youngest student, joined Head Girl Kirsten for the honour of putting the first earth onto the capsule, creating a fitting link between Wycombe High today and the generations of students who will follow in the future.
The ceremony was broadcast live on Wycombe High TV as the opening event of a very special day of celebrations.

The celebrations continue throughout the day with The Eras Tour, a whole-school cross-curricular activity day exploring how the lives and opportunities of young women have evolved from 1901 to the present day, culminating in displays, performances, artefacts and interactive experiences across the school.
Happy 125th Birthday, Wycombe High! 🎉
