Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Sarah Ellis, talks to Wycombe High TV about our next BIG LIVE EVENT – our ‘Into The Sixth’ Open Day, on Wednesday 18 October, from 2.30 pm to 6 pm.
It is for current Year 11 students, both here at Wycombe High, and those currently studying at other schools, who wish to apply for a place in our Sixth Form, staring in September next year.
Selecting the right A Level options is key to thriving in the Sixth Form and to laying solid foundations for future success and happiness.
The event will provide opportunities to hear staff and students talk about what our Sixth Form has to offer – and to ask questions about the Wycombe High School Sixth Form experience.
Subjects Leaders and their colleagues will be available to talk with students and parents about the 23 full A Level subjects we have on offer. They will be joined by Year 13 Subject captains and Year 12 Sixth Form Ambassadors, who will provide an insight into their experiences of their chosen subjects and aspirations for the future.
There will be opportunities to find out more about Sixth Form life including pastoral care, extracurricular clubs and societies. careers support and Post 18 Pathways, including Oxbridge.
There will also be three scheduled talks in the Hall with Mrs Ellis and our Headteacher, Mrs Nicola Renyard, as well as members of the Student Leadership Team about why we feel Wycombe High School should be your first choice for Sixth Form.
