VIDEO: “We’re absolutely delighted!” – Mrs Renyard talks to Wycombe Sound

From Nicola Renyard, Headteacher, Wycombe High School:

“Hearty congratulations to Wycombe High School’s A Level students. They have achieved a highly impressive set of A Level results! Even more impressive given that this is their first experience of external examinations due to the impact of Covid on their GCSEs.

“These results reflect the hard work of our students and staff, and the strength of the partnership between staff, students and parents.

“We are extremely proud of the Class of 2023 and their commitment to their studies; they have role modelled determination, perseverance and optimism throughout their time at Wycombe High School.

“They leave us for a whole variety of destinations, and we wish them all the very best with their future adventures”.

Wycombe High School‘s results at a glance:

  • Over three quarters of all results achieved by students were A* to B grades.
  • Over half of all results achieved by students were A* to A grades.
  • 56 students achieved three or more A Levels at A*-A, with 6 students achieved 3 or more A* grades.
  • Currently 7 students holding Oxford and Cambridge offers have secured their first choice of courses which include Medicine, Mathematics, Law, English Literature, Classics and Philosophy.
  • Over 70% of students have gained a place at their first-choice universities.
