#WycHighGlobal – students in worldwide event for women

Wycombe High sixth formers were today taking part in the ‘Global Girl Leading’ event, celebrating the International Day of the Girl, with schools joining in from countries around the world, including the UK, Israel, Malaysia, Nepal and Singapore.

The theme for this year’s virtual event, as assigned by UNICEF, is ‘Digital Generation, our Generation’ and the aim of the day is to redefine the power of digital technology and how it can be used as a positive platform for empowerment and education.

There is specific focus on how the digital era has increased the potential for girls to flourish in education, the workplace and society, if used appropriately.
