Wycombe High School’s 125th anniversary celebrations have made it onto the airwaves, with three members of our Head Girl Team joining Colin Besley at Wycombe Sound.
Head Girl Kirsten, together with Annabel and Julia, spoke about the celebrations marking 125 years since Wycombe High School first opened its doors in 1901.
Their conversation included our whole-school Eras Tour, which involved all 1,377 students, and the special Time Capsule ceremony, when Kirsten and our youngest student, Ira, buried a snapshot of WHS life in 2026 for a future generation to discover.
The students also reflected on how life at Wycombe High has changed over the past 125 years, what a student from 1901 might make of WHS today and what students in 2076 might think when the Time Capsule is opened.
A huge thank you to Colin and Wycombe Sound for inviting us into the studio, and congratulations to Kirsten, Annabel and Julia for representing WHS so brilliantly.
