WHS student, Aanya, becomes published author, aged 11

Wycombe High Year 7 student Aanya, has become a published author, aged just 11, with a story inspired by her real-life dog, Barney, and his fear of Bonfire Night fireworks.

Aanya explained: “Barney is frightened by fireworks and I wanted to create more awareness of how can scare dogs, so I decided to write a book”.

Aanya’s mum helped get her story illustrated and published via a company called ‘Author In Me’.

No Fireworks Please‘ is available on Amazon for £4.99 with 80% of the profits going to the animal charity, the RSPCA. Or you can download a Kindle version for free.
