The countdown is on to Saturday’s 125 Community Carnival as WHTV broadcasts live from the school sports field. Plus, we meet Wimbledon-bound Nishta, hear from Team GB sailor Gloria and follow our Silver Duke of Edinburgh students on their New Forest adventure.
As excitement builds ahead of Saturday’s Wycombe High 125 Community Carnival, this week’s edition of Wycombe High TV News comes from a very special location – the school sports field itself, which will soon be transformed into the venue for one of the biggest events in our school’s history.
Presenters Eliana and Lucy are joined by Assistant Headteacher Mrs Jennie Griffin to find out what visitors can expect when around 2,500 people come together to celebrate 125 years of Wycombe High School. From live entertainment and community stalls to a real funfair featuring a Ferris wheel and bumper cars, there’s plenty to look forward to.
The programme also celebrates two outstanding student sporting achievements. Year 8 student Nishta talks to WHTV ahead of her appearance at a prestigious Wimbledon Invitational event, while Year 12 student Gloria shares her reaction after being selected to represent Great Britain at the 2026 420 Dinghy World Championships in France.
And finally, we join 51 students as they complete their Silver Duke of Edinburgh qualifying expedition in the New Forest, overcoming challenges, building resilience and creating memories to last a lifetime.
