Year 12 Classicists Inspire Next Generation of Ancient World Explorers

Yesterday, Year 12 Classics students welcomed Year 4 pupils from Abbey View Primary School to Wycombe High School for a special Classics Day designed and delivered entirely by our students.

The visiting pupils took part in three interactive sessions exploring Greek gods and goddesses, ancient cities and the art of myth-making using Latin vocabulary. The day offered a fascinating introduction to the ancient world and gave pupils the opportunity to experience a subject they may not otherwise encounter.

Feedback from the Abbey View students was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the day as “amazing” and saying how much they enjoyed learning about Classics.

A huge congratulations and thank you to the 10 Year 12 students who organised and led the event. Their enthusiasm, knowledge and leadership skills helped create a memorable and inspiring experience for all involved.
