Young Mathematicians Celebrate Olympiad Success

Fifteen talented Year 7 and Year 8 students at Wycombe High School are celebrating outstanding success in the 2026 UK Maths Trust Junior Mathematical Olympiad.

The Junior Mathematical Olympiad is one of the UK’s most demanding mathematics competitions, challenging students to apply creativity, logic and advanced problem-solving skills to tackle complex questions.

We are delighted that 15 of our students received awards in this year’s competition, a fantastic achievement that reflects both their mathematical ability and their enthusiasm for tackling challenging problems.

Congratulations to every student recognised, and thank you to our dedicated Mathematics Department, led by Subject Leader for Mathematics, Mr Michael Gomme, for inspiring and supporting our young mathematicians.

Well done to everyone involved on this excellent achievement. #BeOutstanding
